A Barbie doll, a rocking horse,
Are high on Santa’s list,
But sadly there will be children,
That Santa simply missed.
That part of Christmas is so sad,
Where the bright light does not glow,
A place where Christmas is just a name,
Where no-one wants to go.
Christmas should be a time
When we say a silent prayer at home,
Give a tiny sincere thought,
To those sad and alone.
So Merry Christmas one and all,
There’s a welcome on the mat,
Enjoy the festive season,
And may you all get fat.
