Veteran Seaman, Mr. Patrick Hopkins

Veteran Seaman, 24th May, 1952

On a short holiday in Tuam, and visiting his cousin, Mr. Bernard O’Donnell, Bishop Street, is veteran seaman Mr. Patrick Hopkins. A native of Castlemoyle, he has had long service in the American Mercantile Marines and was on the SS south Pacific which docked at Cobh with a cargo last week. Mr. Hopkins has travelled all over the world and has made many trips to his native place. ¹
