The direct descendant of an Earl still living in Killererin

Dearbhla Ann Williams

It is interesting to find that a direct descendent of an Earl, still lives in the parish of Killererin. That person is Dearbhla Ann Williams who lives in Garra, Killererin. She is a direct descendent of William Burke, the 2nd Earl of Howth, in the 1800’s.

Mary Isabella Burke and John Andrew Kirwan

William’s daughter Mary Isabella Burke, married John Andrew Kirwan,  Hillsbrook, and their granddaughter, Margaret Kirwan, Knocklodge,  Barnaderg, married Ulick Burke of Cloonagh House.

Barbara Burke and Patrick McHugh

Margaret and Ulick had a daughter Barbara Burke, Knocklodge, Barnaderg, and she married Patrick Mc Hugh, Barnaderg,. They had a daughter Muriesl  and so we know that Barbara McHugh is the great grandmother of Dearbhla Ann Williams, Garra.
