Barnaderg Tower House/ Castle

Barnaderg Castle/Tower House has been a feature on the outskirts of the village of Barnaderg as you approach from the Tuam direction, for many centuries. It was built by Meloughlin O’Kelly around 15th/16th century. Evidence of crockery from Devon and elsewhere was found there some years ago, and is in the care of Barnaderg National School today.
