Food Heritage of our Parish

Killererin Heritage Society in association with Galway County Council Heritage Office are striving to build a food profile of our locality and in doing so, preserve the food culture of our own area and of the county as a whole.
There are all kinds of topics covered from the discovery of bog butter in Poll a Chapaill bog; the folklore of butter by local historian Sylvester Cassidy and our schools heritage project 2018 among many other topics.
We know you will find something of interest among the contribution and we would welcome any contribution you can make either by photo or article of a food related theme.  Check us out if you are looking for some inspiration.
