Aoife Meenaghan,Cahergal NS,aged 12

Ingredients

  1. 200g flour
  2. Pinch of salt
  3. 50g Margarine
  4. 25g caster sugar
  5. 1 egg
  6. A little milk

Method

  1. Rub the margarine into the flour unti it looks like breadcrumbs
  2. Stir in the sugar
  3. Beat the egg and the milk in a small bowl
  4. Add the eggs and milk to the mixture
  5. Roll out the mixture on a floured board to at least 1 cm thickness
  6. Place on a greased tin amd brush with milk
  7. Bake in a fairly hot oven 215 degrees centigrade for about 15 minutes
  8. Cool on a wire tray and enjoy!
