Banana Bread

The goal today is to make Banana Bread.  I hope  you enjoy this recipe:

You will need

  1. 4 very ripe bananas
  2. 225g (8oz) of self raising flour
  3. 200g (7oz) golden caster sugar
  4. 100g (4oz) butter melted
  5. 2 large eggs
  6. 1 teaspoon baking powder

Method

  1.  Preheat the oven to 150 degrees centigrade/300 degrees Fahrenheit/Gas Mark 2.
  2. Line a 900ml 1 ½ pint non-stick loaf tin with non-stick baking paper
  3. Put the bananas roughly chopped into a food processor.
  4. Add the self-raising flour, caster sugar, butter, eggs and baking powder.
  5. Mix until evenly combined
  6. Spoon the mixture into the lined loaf tin and bake for 1 ¼ hours until risen and firm to the touch.
  7. Leave to rest for 15 minutes before turning out of the tin
  8. Cut into slices and serve warm or cold.
