  1. 115g (4oz) margarine
  2. 2 large eggs
  3. 115 g (4oz) caster sugar
  4. 115g (4oz) self-raising flour
  5. 2-3 drops of vanilla essence
  6. A pinch of salt
  7. 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  8. 30g (1oz) sieved cocoa powder

Set oven to 170 degrees centigrade/325 degrees Fahrenheit/Gas Mark 3
